UK Lostvolts Theremin LV-4 (Requires Earth/Ground)

Lostvolts LV-4 Theremin from the UK
Extremely rare in Japan

This is a fully analog, heterodyne theremin with two antennas. In addition to pitch and volume adjustment knobs, it features knobs for waveform, timbre (filter), and output volume.
It has been modified to include an external wire for grounding (earth or GND).
A homemade wrist strap for grounding (GND) is included as a bonus.

An AC adapter for power is included.
It can also be powered by a 12V output compatible mobile battery if you have a trigger cable.
It does not have a built-in speaker, so you will need to provide your own amplifier, speaker, and connection cable.
The screw hole for stand mounting is 3/8 inch.
The main unit dimensions (excluding antennas) are approximately 35 x 11 x 3 cm.
The plastic casing is lightweight at about 525 grams, making it easy to carry.

The stand and shield cable shown in the photos are not included.

While it feels like a more affordable version of the MOOG Etherwave, its performance is by no means inferior.
It has a similar tone, and I feel the bass response is even better.

Important Note:
When using the included AC adapter, always ensure it is properly grounded (earth).
When using a mobile battery, either ground it or use the included wrist strap to establish a GND connection before playing.
If you do not ground the unit when using the included AC adapter, it will only produce noisy sound.
If you use a mobile battery without the included wrist strap, you will not be able to establish a playable zero point (zero point).

To avoid issues, please purchase only if you understand the necessity of grounding (GND) or earth.
If you are unsure about what grounding (earth) or GND is, or how to establish it, please refrain from purchasing.

When playing, please extend the pitch antenna fully.
Please ensure the metal parts of the bonus wrist strap are in direct contact with your skin when using it. If it breaks, please repair it yourself by connecting a suitable wire.

We request that only those who understand the characteristics of a theremin purchase this item.
